Thermomix™ Pastes
Out of all the things that I make in the Thermomix™, I think that Pastes are the most versatile and varied. I have put together a list of the different pastes that I make and the recipes that they are used for. Most pastes you make are for more than one recipe, but if they aren’t, I usually make a double batch anyway and freeze, finding something else to make with these taste bombs. I love making these pastes and freezing them, weighing the portions for meals and put them in small containers ready for quick dinners.
Many times I marinate some chicken, pork, beef etc… in the paste with some extra olive oil, salt and pepper, pop them on top of some cut vegetable and bake. You can use the pastes to marinate/coat or cook with protein of your choice, including tofu, then bake, stir fry, or use in the cookidoo recipe. They are so versatile and really handy to have in the freezer to pimp up any protein!
Butter Chicken is our go to meal (at least once a month) I make triple batches of the spice mix and put it in a spice container so its always on hand. I also find that the butter chicken always has left over sauce that I put away for a very quick butter chicken meal for one. (Just fry up some chicken thighs add the sauce, heat and eat)
