Thermomix, Chocolate and Masterclass, three of my favourite things combined. You see dear reader, you all know that I love to cook and I really love food, but what you don’t know is I’m a food nerd. I ready food books and recipe books, I even have a book about knives. I go to cooking classes, Masterclass and food demonstrations. I embarrass my husband no end having conversations with chefs (sometimes hat very high end restaurants and they are always so generous) about how they prepared the food and their different cooking methods (I was rewarded one night when a chef complimented my knowing a method of preparing something very complex in front of hubby… and the chef told hubby that he was fortunate to have me LOL)
All this is to say that when an opportunity came up to attend a Chocolate masterclass of one of my favourite Thermomix authors, Janie Turner, The Thermomix Chocolate Queen, I jumped at the chance. My Thermo bestie (Bex) and I drove up to Brisbane Thermomix Head Office, for what turned out to be a treat in more ways than one.
Jaine and her husband use to run Thermomix in the Uk and we found out that a lot of our favourite recipes are ones that she developed overseas and they tricked down to us, particular that sticky date pudding and butterscotch sauce recipe.
We got to taste everything with Rebecca’s favourite being the Chocolate Guinness cake.
But mine was the Chocolate Fudge Cookies as you all know I’m a sucker for a really good biscuit.
I got so inspired, I remade my famous Chocolate Chunk Brownies and then realised that I had never shared that recipe on my blog, so you are in for a real treat this Sunday afternoon as the recipe is coming your way.
If you are interested in attending masterclasses or hands on cooking class I know a few that happen all the time on the Gold coast and Brisbane, but in other areas, always be on the lookout as they happen all the time.
Thanks for reading and Happy Cooking!
