About Me
Welcome to Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard. My name is Elizabeth Connolly, and I have been cooking for as long as I can remember. My Nana taught me all her good and faithful recipes and my mum always let me loose in the kitchen to experiment and never minded cleaning up after me!
This blog will help you save money, by helping you to make food from scratch, so you know exactly what is in it.
It will help you save time, by making bulk food and freezing it for times when you have no time to cook.
It will hopefully equip you with basic skills that will help you to budget and plan meals so you don’t have to think about what you are going to cook tonight for dinner because you will already have several options for the week.
I have included conventional cooking techniques as well as Thermomix methods, as I own a Thermomix and I am an independent Thermomix consultant. I have found it very cost effective and saves me money each week by being able to make things from scratch. These are my own personal recipes and they are in no way linked to Thermomix Australia. I also do not speak for Thermomix Australia in any way.
Below is me and Maggie Beer at the Brisbane “Good Food and Wine Show 2014” – I’m singing for her (my other passion) before we cook Kangaroo. It was an amazing day that bought my two passions together! If you would like to know more about me and my food journey check out my Blog It’s All About Me for a little look into my life!
